When compared to regular glass, borosilicate is safe for initial piercing, resistant to chemicals, scratch- resistant, less susceptible to fractures, resistant to thermal shock, and not poured into molds. All our glass jewelry is handcrafted in St. Louis, Missouri.

MM Glassworks strictly uses borosilicate glass that is hand made in the USA. Borosilicate Glass is scratch resistant but still fragile and should be treated as such. All glass is guaranteed to arrive scratch and breakage free. We will package each order in a foam insulated box free of charge. Borosilicate glass is autoclavable. Do not use harsh chemicals on any jewelry. Do not wear in the shower or while swimming. Wash with antibacterial soap, but take caution while removing; glass will break if dropped on tile or cement.
Repost because I've bought multiple pairs: I've just finished purchasing my 4th? maybe 5th? pair of these and have now worn them at least 2 years at this point. I've lost a few down the drain bc I'm too lazy to take them out before I shower, but that's completely on me. I love these because I'm SO ALLERGIC to almost anything other material and they let me safely participate without irritation. Also LOVE the color choices (I go for clear and periwinkle for girliness). Thanks so much for being the shining beacon in my quest to have cute little tunnels in my ears. <3

Quality glass, looks great. Like others have said, it’s more of a lavender than the photos make it out to be. Also, if you’re at 12mm, their half inch sizing is 13mm. Be mindful. Maybe the shop could add the mm sizes to their listing?
Very nice, excited that soon I'll be able to wear them :) just a few mm to go! They are more like a light lavender color than the vibrant electric purple that is shown on the item photo just be aware, non-issue for me personally.
